My TCAB wanna be box

Got my pieces from JDAudiobox, great guy. The pieces were perfect, but my construction wasn't. A few of the pieces ended up being a little off, but no biggie, I'm happy with the outcome. It's very ugly because of all the dripped glue, but I'm not trying to win any beauty contests here. To me, an enclosure serves one purpose, to perform.

The box is ~5.2 ft3 @ ~36hz. 4 4" PSP Flares were used. For 2 12" 1242Ds, aka Type Rs.

I dont think you "see" impedance rise until the subs are in an playing at given frequencies...but I could be wrong.

impedance rise is caused by the coil going through the magnetic field which means unless you have subwoofer of the gods, that's not impedance rise. I am surprised it's right at 1.0 though, a lot of subs are a little off.

I know it looks like *** I don't care. It is loud as piss though. Beat the hell out of my other box.

Overall I noticed a flatter response. Even though it's tuned so high, the lows to me are great and it feels like someone's smacking my cheeks. It doesn't sound too bad, but that's subjective.

$80 for the pieces. That includes the material itself, the cuts, and shipping.

$60 for the ports including shipping.

$20 for materials.

So final cost, $160. Factor out shipping charges, and the final cost drops to $110.
