My subwoofer is fapping??

I bought a DD 9515f from wildsebring i put it today in a 5cube box net tuned to 37 hertz...

I played it @ 2ohms on a AQ 2200 for about 30+min...

I then wired it to .5ohm and babied it for 20 more minoutes..

I then started playing it with the gain around 1/3 and it was loud but it kinda made this fapping noise. My friends AQ hdc3 makes the same noise b/c he broke the spider/spiders because he wanged it when he first bought the sub....

The noise i hear might be port noise b/c the box has two little ports instead of one big one.

How can i tell if my spiders are messed up?

well i dont think the spiders have become disconnected @ all but maybe one of the spiders in the spider pack broke loose....

Does this make sense?

Im thinking of taking it out of the box and free-airing it on some lower power to get it to move... If i hear a fapping noise without it bottoming out then thats whats wrong i guess...

my 1508 made some odd noises while it was breaking in, allmost like farting i guess. it went away after a while and the dd's do seem to take some time to break in. also try lowering your x-over some, this also helped just a bit.
