whenever my amp decides to power the subs i get probably 5-10 minutes of bumping time. Then all of the sudden the subs just cut out. i know its because of the amp cause my brother had the same problem when he had it in his car.

i dont know the reason why it does this. its a Rockford fosgate 1500 watt amp, its a couple years old. anyone have any onput on why it does this, is it cause someone tuned it wrong?

it does get hot, but a lot of people tell me thats normal. i havent touched the gains or anything else really. someone else tuned the amp for me, i find it too complicating.

the power wire im running is a 4 ga. into a 8 ga. with the use of a distribution block.

2 JL W3V2 dual 2 ohm. i wired them series parrallel making the ohm load to the amp 2 ohm.

i just checked if eveything works again and it does, so i set the settings a little back just in case they were too high. but i bet while im riding later tonight it will happen again.

Do you think its because it doesnt get any cool air? i have an MR2 and i put it in the front compartment cause nothing is really there. im pretty sure everything is sealed off and no fresh air can come through while the hood is closed. maybe it judt gets too hot in there?
