My stereo shop had a kickass idea...

yeah but i have my truck for the purpose of fitting four people, being able to haul my trailer, and being able to hold my dirt bike
so you seem to actually use your truck as a truck but you want to have 4 subs in it

what exactly is the point of having 4

and if you go dirtbiking and then have ppl hopping back in your truck; be prepared for your subs or your expensive box to be messed up

how bout this...

do the whole 4 bucket seat idea then when you make the center console make it so it rises to about the middle of the rear window then run the subs down the middle of the console?

i would just take out the rear seat, they are pretty usless anyways

well f these guys i had the same idea with my truck and i think its a good one...what i thought of differently was a couple things 1 dont try to fit 2 under the seats...do a front to back custom center consle if he's good he can make cup holders and a cubby space just like stock..and put all 4 in there either downfiring or out the sides if u trust people to not hit them , then instead of finding 2 more stock buckets look into jegs or somthin like them and either get nice racing seats (not expensive u can actully puy a pair from a checkers auto parts for 179...where i live ne ways) or u can find some nice tamed down racing seats the might be a bit more comfortable..anyways hope that helps some and good luck! if not why not just stick to 2 12 ??

after hearing some of the ideas now i think what i may do is run the subs in just a custom center console and have all four firing up but have them angled slightly (cant find pics right now but im sure ppl know what im talking about) and then still just mount the amp on the rear wall like i was planning...im still entertaining ideas however...

Well I'll take it those trucks don't have the option for a topper. That sucks because then you could just put a topper on there and find a way to do a blow through through the back window and still seat 4 people, other than that remove the rear seats and wall the 4 12"s or just build a big box and fit all four firing up or do the bucket seat Idea and do a sort-of-wall (Don't ask).....

Remove the backseat and replace with two bucket seats and then if it permits build a long box (be sure you can make and fit the correct airspace box) and install it in between the two rear bucket seats. It's like a wall in between the two rear seats only it's really just a long box that was installed verticlly(sp?) instead of horizontaly(sp?).

As for amp mount, again if you have adequate space you could mount two subs at the bottom and two subs at the top and have the amp mounted in the middle but that would be a sealed box but might be able to get away with ports on each side of the amp.

It depends on what you want and how much you want to spend or do yourself on the install.

I'd go with the two rear bucket seats and a long sealed box with appropriate air space for each driver and mounth the amp somwhere hidden or where it can remain out of sunlight and stay cool like under neath one of the rear bucket seats.

Yeah im not gonna do a topper but i think i am gonna change from the original idea and im gonna put the two bucket seats in the rear and run one box all the way from front to rear and just take out the center console...that way i dont have to worry about them gettin damaged and it allows for proper airspace...
