My Sony Xplod CHU does not display when flipped out

I have a Sony Xplod HU. With a motorized faceplate. yuh know, flips out, showing the knobs and a small display screen. when closed, the display from the outside screen shows fine, however the small screen does not display. It happened a couple days ago. it jus shows a line. One person told me the ribbon that connects the faceplate to the inside of the deck may be loose or slack. I'm jus wondering if anyone knows how to fix it. the ppl also told me to have a technician look at it.

mine is 3 years old. buh th elast two it was not installed. so it was installed and workin for 1 year. what you think, buy a new one?

its because its sony. You cant expect sony to function properly for 3 years straight. Buy something worth the money.
