after being inspired by the other guys thread i decided to try my own

yes it sounds like pure shit , its some oldskool kenwood sub that we previously tried to destroy freeair but was unable to, so long story short while bouncing various objects off the dustcap it managed to become ****, so i put it to work as my new computer sub as the old tiny *** 4" sub was making wierd noises

AHAHAHAHAHA iv already managed to get 1 neighbor to knock on my door complaining about loud noise + knocked 3 pictures off the wall + my sister having to close every door between my computer room and her room and she says she still cant hear her TV

i jsut made thew hole bigger and stuck a 6.5 in the box. i have that same sub setup. the 4 that comes with it is junk

12" L7 > 4" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

to bad the 20 watts or so its puttin out dosent make it move much... after playing with it iv decided its to risky tryin to keep it like that... the only way to make it super loud is to clip the hell out of the signal and i hear bad noises comming from the port + sub and i dont want to blow my L7 so i have to keep the EQ + bass boost down so it dosent knock nearly as hard... but when i want to i can make pictures fall off the wall //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

You can turn that up and clip the shit outa the amp and the L7 won't care, even at full clip your going to come nowhere close to the thermal limits.

WOW really?!? so i can put everything to max and it wont hurt it at all??? i want to get a few more opinions before i try this
*No I don't claim to know wtf I'm talking about*

What heats the coil to the point of crapping out? To much power

A clipped wave is 2x the power of a unclipped sin wave.

At the measly little power output of that amp, even at a full square wave it won't have enough output capability to hurt the L7.

It will most likely sound like shit, but it'll work.

with bass boost to 100%(on the amp), winamp eq set flat , windows+winamp volume to 100% it starts to bottom out when knob goes up to far(nearly all the way) like it sounds like someone flicking a styrofoam cup but comming from the subwoofer

i just did this cus i was bored ... i dont want to spend money... is there any way i can hook up my bx1500D to it?
get a car battery and ground it to a piece of metal, then ground your amp to the same piece of metal, connect the amp to the battery and put your remote turn on to one of your computer components. that might work. oh and you would have to get that 1/8" to rca adapter cable from radio shack to plug your rca's into the computer.

jsut groudn the amp straight to the bettery no need to gorund the battery it will work
