...and I have to agree with that...when you take a substance that alters your mental processes through chemical reactions, you are a danger to yourself and others. Taking a sleeping pill and trying to drive is just as dangerous. And of course it effects everyone differently... people that drink heavily for most of their lives have obvious physical effects. Ever hear of Meth Mouth? Same with marijuana, cigarettes, or any substance consumed, legal or not. When you inhale marijuana smoke you are coating your lungs with tar, (more than what is in a cig) a substance that prevents the absorption of oxygen into the aerola's (s?). SO yes, even tho some say there is no long term effect... have never heard of emphysima. I take HRT, I need it to stabalize my hormones. (Imagine what a **** I could be without it! LOL!) It too has a negative effect on my body in the fact that in pill format my liver has to process it out of my blood stream, hence I have an enlarged liver. To cure one medical problem, I have created another. Anything, yes, even food, has an effect on your body.
This will undoubtedly be a very long lasting debate, there are distinguishable pro's and con's to every side...
IMO the con's outweigh the pro's. That, IMO again, will be the death of it ever being legal.
