ok guys im doing a paper on why marijuana should be legalized //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif im working on the outline right now and i need three main topic sentences on why marijuana should be legalized.. im sure one of them is going to be because some medical conditions are relieved with marijuana.. can you guys please think of two more reasons that are valid and logic? this might be hard but in all seriousness pleeeeeeease

well i think if they legalize it people will buy it more then cocaine and those other drugs that are a million times more worse..i mean people are gona do drugs regardless you cant stop them but you can provide them the options to use less harsher drugs?

I smoke weed everyday of my life, and will continue to regardless of this bullshit active probation. I consider it a right, and the only option, other then handfuls of pills, to function in any social activity and I will be the first to say.......

ive never smoked or done any illegal drug whatsoever in my entire life.. i find the views conflicting.. because in school they always teach you, weed is bad, weed is this, yada yada... they drill that into your mind so much, but now theres states that are decriminalizing it? it makes me think twice about it.. is it even bad like they try to make it sound like it is 24/7 if your own government is going to let you do it

Research into why other countries i.e switzerland, amsterdam legalized it. The reason they legalized it i believe was to cut down on the crimes dirrectly related to the underground dealing of it.

goverment could make tons of ****ing money from taxing it, less crime, better shit than the average sac that goes around stuff that isnt laced, cept premos are nice, medical benifits, a hell of lot safer than alcohol, ciggerettes or over the counter cold medicine. country would be out of debt instead of trying to bust the average joe, cant od on it i unno anything else im to stoned

You can write about how its not physically addictive, or argue it...since there are studies going both ways all over the internet and in books....you could argue that the smoke that is inhaled from majijuana is actually thicker than cigarettes smoke (the actual particles in the smoke)...so in a sence, you are inhaling the same amount....absorbing less of it....but on the down side...what your lungs do absorb is worse for you... BUT......then you can go into the "I only smoke out of a vaporizer, or eat it" argument. They can legalize it, then just outlaw pipes and devices that actually create "smoke" (even though they will still be available illegally) If you need info on a vaporizer, you can find them all over ebay...explains everything. ALSO...not as many people will smoke marijuana that smoke cigs....granted there will be more potheads than there are now...but there wont be as many people who smoke cigs....Marijuana is more controllable in the mind of the smoker...you dont NEED to smoke bud every time you get a little frusterated, or every time you get under a little stress. As far as health reasons...sheit, you could write a paper on that alone... It helps cure so many sleeping problems, helps cure stress MEDICALLY PROVEN (unlike cigarettes), used for depression.......

Dude, if you get "the big book of buds" and just flip through it (or just go to borders and look at it) there are so many buds in there that list which buds are used for different kinds of medical conditions. PM me if you need some more info or have any ?'s... im your guy

This is good to.... many other countries and locations EX= amsterdam have many more drugs legalized, and their crime rates are significantly lower than the US. Also im sure if you do a google search "why marijuana should be legalized" you will find countless amounts of info for your paper.

Another thing you SHOULD do is compare it to alcohol man.... for every time someone says "marijuana is bad because....." you can throw 3 more back at em why alcohol is worse.... FIRST OFF... marijuana does not have 1 documented death for OD'ing... at least if its CLEAN (another thing you can use...gov. controlled it will be clean as someone stated) Alcohol impairs your judgement A LOT more. I can drink 5 beers and not feel comfortable to drive...yet I can smoke a few G's in a night and feel fine (not great to drive) but comfortable.

You have tons of people out there who are "violent drunks" when is the last time you've heard of a "violent stoner"

You can use the amount of money the Gov. spends in a year to lock up kids who get caught with a gram in their car...or caught selling a little dope (not talking LB.s here) That info can be found for sure...>i thing PEN & TELLER have an episode you can download on Morpheus or Limewire where they talk about the "War Against Drugs" and how it is a COMPLETE waste of money....Our gov. wastes BILLIONS of dollars for this crap...and they bring up sooooo many good points.

It simply makes sense to legalize it. So many people smoke it, there's a huge economy for it, it is FAR less dangerous than alcohol, very little bad side effects, makes people happy, etc. I mean this drug is safer than the "legal" drugs. Millions have died from tobacco and alcohol but not one from weed. Where's the common sense in that?

its dirt cheap here in tx.,if you buy from the mexicans.

theres worst things out there,ice,coke....

i say,tax the crap out of it so we can get out of this billion dollar deficet.

and yaaaaaa... about that weed..... MOST of that is called... ummm.... DITCH WEED.... which is more dangerous to ya..because you need to smoke more of it, and its a thicker smoke (the yellow smoke)...and its just not a pleasant high...

Thats another thing...you can smoke pot your whole life and still be completely successful... You cant be an alcoholic all your life.

I would definitely make the addiction thing a paragraph man...even if it is A LITTTTTLE addicting (which i dont feel it is) its completely under control...it doesnt get worse, and worse...you dont start to fiend on it if you dont have it, or get violent, or abandon your family...how many stoners are out on the street just because.....they cant afford a home because they need to get their "fix" every day. Obviously sayin people who smoke are lazy...mostly true...depends on what your smokin... Someone like you may not know that some smokes actually can energize you... that is the effect of some...others make you sleepy. I used to smoke every day before i went and worked out because it helped me keep my concentration (haha, I like this thread...so much stereotyping)
