So your saying that in 1830 pitbulls were not breed for war in Europe after they banned breeding them to kill cattle? Because that most definitely is true. No matter what spin the ATTS puts on it, history proves what they were breed for. There is no arguing genetics either. Im glad some biased testing put together by a 3rd party has you more convinced than genetic evidence.

While I am not a pitbull owner, I have a few close friends and family members who own them. My opinion is not only established by what I have read, but the years worth of experiences I have had with the dogs. Never once I have I seen one even remotely aggressive toward a human. A couple of them are actually incredibly shy and timid until they get used to you.

Can you please explain exactly how the ATTS testing is biased. Also, I would like to know what the ATTS has to gain by providing such "biased" information.

If you look at the history of the breed, you'll see that the pit bull was originally bread to bull baiting(hense the name) which was a sport of pitting a bull against a dog or several dogs. They were later used for dog fighting due to their tenaciousness. To be useful in any sort of bull baiting or dog fighting, the dog had to be aggressive toward other animals and not people. Otherwise handling the dog would be impossible. Responsible breeders have tried to breed out the aggressive behaviors but there are always irresponsible breeders out there. The actual amount of dog bites that occur from pit bulls are quite small compared to other breeds. There is a lot of ignorance that occurs in the US in regards to Pit bulls. I suggest watching the movie on netflix called "Beyond the Hype"
