My port area debate.

I have 2 Fi BL 18's. Assume 1200w to each, in ~14 cubes tuned at 28 hz.

The port height is going to be ~7.5.

I was thinking of doing 180 square inches of port. That leaves my vent mach at .07 (winisd). My current box is 174.25 square inches of port, so I really wouldn't be changing a whole lot.

I'm not sure how much port area I want. It's easy to decide how much to do for others based off what they want, but I'm not sure what I want to do with this yet. If you know me, you know I want lows but a good overall daily driver. I don't play anything above 55 hz.

To top it all off, my woofers mock up terribly in winisd. The graph is of absolutely no use to me (gain graph). So I'm not sure what I want to do. What do you think I should do, or what would you do?

Conundrium the designer can't design his own, would mylil be rebuilding said box or starting from scratch
I am well capable of designing my own, I just can't make up my mind.

for daily setups ive always liked more port area over less, but when it comes to personal preference it could be any of 100 answers.
That's what I'm looking for, what YOU would do in my shoes.

if i were you,

i personally would run more port, but change the design. right now, i dont know what the layout of your box is/was.

but i like flared ports.

they seem to offer good daily sound, as well as hitting the lows
