My P series sound like ****t plz read

OK, heres whats jacked up... I have a pair of C series Orions, and just got my pair of P series orions. My C series hooked up to an Orion HCCA 250 just slams so hard it nearly seems to break stuff all the time on my car.

Soooooo LIke an audio junkie we all our I upgraded.

Now, In a sealed box , @ 1 ohm . the HCCA 250 putting out about 800Wrms, which we all know if under rated. Hooked up to my P series in a .8 cubic ft box with a QTC of .707 isnt impressing me at all.

Heres something to be known though. The head unit I am using does not have a dedicated subwoofer output , and so treble is going through the subwoofer. Because this amplifier doesnt have a crossover built in. My other amp I use on my C series DOES ! So anxious to hear them I built the box, and hooked them up and they get loud but their not moving stuff like I was expecting. Or like the C series do.

The difference being . The C series are 12's and rated only at 225Watts RMS so basically 550WRMS all together. When I hook up my Orion HCCA 250 to them @ 1 ohm . They just bang the house down . I dont do it too long because I dont want to blow them.

So the P series can handle easly 500Wrms each, I thought slightly underpowering them with 800Wrms total to a 1000Wrms setup would be ideal but it sounds depressing. I expected alot more. I have this inside gut feeling they need more power and their not able to get loud enough off this HCCA 250 .

Their also in a sealed enclosure. So should I port the subs ? Porting them would decrease their RMS rating correct ? And increase efficiancy ? I only listen to rap music anyways.

Port, tune low, and you'll be happy. Are they 12's?

the reccomended porting is at 50hz ? So what happens if I port lower than that ?

50hz is shit tuning for daily. Tuning in the 30's is much better for rap.

Are you sure the subs are sealed 100% ?

Nope their not 100% sealed. LOL.. the small holes where the wires are coming out of are not sealed up. Other than that it should be pretty darn sealed.

If I go to tune these into the 30's , where can I go to get the specs for this ? or math \ formula's or a cheater page.
