Hey everyone,

I worked my a$$ off this summer and bought this 1978 GMC Sierra.

My plans are to:

1. Get rid of all the rust.

2. Rebuild the engine.

3. Put some sort of system in it.

4. Paint.

5. New Tires.

6. Manual transmission. (though I may not b/c the ****** in it is a really good auto.)

7. Whatever else i can think of.

This 1978 GMC Sierra has an Oldsmobile 350 in it and a GM turbo 400 transmission.

I'm helping a friend work on an 80's Chevy... It started out as just put a flat bed on her and primer it. Then it got to fixing the rust....

Now its progressed to the cab is off and working on it, the engine is tore apart waiting to get stroked, and other such goodness.

UPDATE:

I got into some of the stuff with the truck. the new 50/50 bench seat is going in this weekend along with some other stuff. I had a friend price fixing the rust, getting that done in the spring not too bad.

I might be selling it though because someone gave me an offer i can't refuse. But that will just make room for a new project. If i sell it i will be looking for a small extended cab pickup like a ford ranger or an s-10. something small like that.

I'd trade you if you were closer.

Yet another update:

I got the master cylinder replaced and blew out one of my already bad front tires.

I found a cattle guard in a junk yard and bought it off the owner 12 bucks. Needs to be sanded down primered painted and so on.

New tires next payday.

I am doing things little at a time due to funds but all is good I am getting closer.

If i had a camera I would post picks of the progress, but being poor and all i can't afford my own lol L8R all

okay I got some progress pics to show.

CD Player or new tires. Looks like I got tires so the tape deck will have to do.

I had the amp. I got tired of seeing it sitting in my bedroom. 600 watts on a tape deck. i know its overkill.

same with these. I got tired of seeing them sitting in the bedroom so i amped them up.

I know 0 gauge is overkill for a 600 watt amp but it was all I had laying around.

That is all the photos I have of most of the progress thus far.
