my new subs

i ahve 2 12 in cerwin vega vmx 12.2... dual 2 ohm voice coils wired to 1 ohm...

they will be in a ported box...

are these better than 2 15 in L5's...?...

the shop wired them up they are seperate wires.. they arn't connected... so i have no clue.. how are these subs?

just so ya know, that memphis amp is 1 channel, so you will have to connect both sub wires together to either make a .5 or 2 ohm load...

if those 2 12"s hit harder than 2 15" L5's then something was wrong...

lol.. aight i will have to see that diagram to see the wiring....

so are these on 1 ohm or didi the shop to it right...

the hook one red to the other red then one neg to the other neg and run a neg and postive to the amp...

just do pos to pos, neg to neg on both subs, your amp will most likely have 2 sets of speaker out's , put each sub to each set, which will give you a .5 ohm load (make sure your amp can handle it though!)

each single sub yes is at one ohm, but that dosent matter becuase you have 2 subs... unless you were just going to use one sub

No. Two DVC 2 Ohm subs with each sub's coil in parallel then those subs paralleled with each other (which is how they are wired going by your above description in Post # 11) they are wired to a 1/2 Ohm load.
