Yeah, Ive heard people say that tuned to 40hz is too high, but for some reason that seems to work well with my CompVR. Everyone who has heard it says it sounds DEEP. Well, if you're planning on competing with it, that's exactly around where you want it tuned...

I just doubt you've heard a low tuned ported enclosure (around 25 or 27Hz) and hear it "drop low" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif You're severly attenuating the bottom octave.

Actually I have.......Ive been around car audio for about 20 or so years. Ive heard every imaginable install. SQ and DBdrags.....been to both. As I have said, for some reason this box works with my CompVR.......not sure about other subs in this enclosure, but the Kicker loves it.

maybe u're tuned lower than what the info says. have u tried manually calculating the frequency?

i still dont believe that 'it hits low' with that tuning. it may hit HARD on certain notes\songs. but not LOW like the TC sounds uberwoof that everyone talks about - if you know what i mean.

I dont know......but, it does go low. A friend of mine sat in my car the other day, and the first thing he said is ****, that sounds deep.
