I'll get the occasional person that will listen to and then take home some Boston Acoustics stuff with a Denon or Onkyo receiver with a Velodyne sub but most people looking for Bose...only like Bose. Sad really...

My mom has two Bose speakers for front sound that sound decent in my book, altough im no SQ judge.

Shes got two CV AT-8s that are nearly as loud as my HE and sound a hell of a lot better.

Which ones are the CV AT-8s?

I am not too familiar with the bose line... I jsut see it and go **** that sound like crap...

The CVs are 20 years old and bought in Germany so i dont think i can really find them....

All i know is they are 8 inch and one needs a refoam but it sounds good still, i plan to refoam them soon.

Ive also got a Teac AG-V8060 receiver, these any good? Its been real great to me, its got lots of power too, any idea how much they go for?

I had one guy come in tonight, looking at some Bose bookshelfs. I played them and did a switch b/w them and a set of Bostons at 1/2 the price. Bostons were better all around, sounded cleaner, got deeper, and played with more *umph* overall. I thought it was plainly obvious that the Bostons were a better choice and dude seriously looked at with me a straight face and asked "Has anyone really engineered their stuff better than Bose has? I dont think theres a thing is this room that compares!"

Some people have just not heard anything better or their parents had them or siblings and they are biased and refuse to anything better.
