The car had a bunch of ghetto wiring in it...was cutting out all the old speaker wire, then I got in the car to move it and it wouldn't start. So I'm thinking wtf is going on?

I pull the back seat out and of course I see this...

they used speaker wire for the fuel pump lol. So I have to add that to the list of wire to fix

and got everything gutted.

the good clear I get from O'Reilys is almost that much a quart!

i'm sure you have a finishmaster in alabama....if not i feel sorry for you guys....i know my prices down here are good thats why i was saying 1200 for paint, mirrors and windshield was expensive..and the guy who's materials to paint his truck cost more than 1200 what were you painting your car in bj cream? cuz that 1200 for materials would make someone go to econo for 300 and get a paintjob.

He says HOK is the only way to go and Finishmaster is cheap shit lol

k ive seen you talk about painting and prices on supplies twice and your prices are for some sub par materials. yea b/c dupont paint is sub par....right...and finishmaster cheap shit? ha finishmaster carries HOK so i dont know how that would be cheap maybe you 2 could explain that one to me. neither me nor my roomate have had any complaints about paint jobs we have done using dupont paint. The difference between HOK paint and Dupont is like comparing Jif peanut butter to walmart brand...its the same stuff and looks the same only difference is you FEEL like ur getting better quality with the more expensive one.

dupont isnt bad. the prices just seem like they arent quoted for dupont products and if u paint cars for as cheap as u make it sound looks like im taking a trip to orlando and i expect it to be a top notch paint job

nope not painting vehicles for 300....painting MY vehicle for under 300... and to anyone who wants a top notch paint job...you have to pay top notch money...by the time we get done its gonna be like the color was already there(if you pay the money). but if you wanna lowball and be cheap we do cheap work(leave door jams, seals, engine bay, under the hood original color and no wet sand and buff before its delivered or picked up by u)

well i've just priced paint for my car and its only 40 a qt. clear is 89.90 for a gallon and primer is only 40 for a half gallon...so by my calculations 120+90+40=230...and i do all my own labor and these are dupont paint from Finishmaster.

What kind of trap house are you going that has clear for 90 a gallon?
