I used to run 2 of the MTX9500's and ran them in waaaayyyyy bigger boxes than whats rec... 150+ dB @ USAC comp. in northern MO couple of years ago. old school mtx1501d each sub ftw

just build the correct box for it or get someone to build it for you...then buy a new amp later and you will be happy it hit harder and you didnt spend all that money on the l5s

Not sure why your not getting that much power, even at 2ohms. I was doing over 2000rms with my 1501 d's.

MTX is notorious for horrible box recommendations, just look at the box they recommend for the jackhammer, i might not even put a friggin 18 in that box.

2 cubes is small for the average 15, id go bigger.

really, why's that? Those kicker zx1500.1's are powerful amps. At 2 ohms over 1700 watts. Maybe his electrical is lacking but the amp sure isn't. That really does seem like a small box for a 15, try 3.5 cf.
