I'm not disagreeing with any of that, but the point was that Clinton's push for everyone to own a home did contribute to the current situation.

So you went from it being all Clinton's fault to "he contributed". Way to backtrack there turbo. I worked in all that bs too when it was dead in it's prime so don't try any of that silly "I'm smarter than you" crap. Made me sick to my stomach what banks were doing to people AND that the retards were dumb enough to fall for it. American greed caused all that mess not Clinton. I had a great paying job during that time period, and very little expenses. I had phone calls from real estate brokers, mortgage officers, etc. literally Every day. It was ridiculous how pushy they were. Finally, I said to one kid that was obviously younger than I am, "If this is such a great deal, why can't they give me a Fixed rate? Who says the rates won't skyrocket after 6 months?". They always gave me some BS excuse that real estate "will only go up".

By the next year year (2005) the market had crashed and rates were through the roof. I had no insider knowledge, no real market knowledge, but the writing was on the wall.

Found out last night that the shift managers are only make $7.75 an hour...50 cents more than a regular employee. Definitely wouldn't put up with the bs they have to for that 50 extra cents an hour.
