Yep. So today was the day. I got the Obsidian 15 hooked up to my ASPM-1500! Thing sounded absolutely awesome, it was exactly the level of bump I was looking for.

And then, while the guy was installing bass blockers at the deck, thee yellow wire decided it wanted to touch my decks metal housing.

Now my deck, is shishkabob..

So. I listened to the system for about 2 minutes.

Before it when kablewwyyy

Tommorrow, I'm going to re-wire the deck again to see if its the deck, which I know it is, I just want to be sure, annnndddd go to Honda and see if its just a fuse, because for some reason, my cars built in clock doesn't work anymore

Oh and By the way. I don't dim. At all. So I love my ASPM-1500. And as for the sub. I love the sub. But I've only heard it for 2 minutes..

i would just check the fuse at the house to save you time and money u had to blow one grounding out the constant wire. this happens from time to time when you do radio installs though i normally dont wire up harnesses at the dash. i rather wire up the harness out of the car and then plug and play in the car. the only wire i have to hook up in the car is the remote wire which i use quick connects for.

What type Of quick connects are you using? I have o my tried one pair but they were awful for me didn't hOld at all and I ended up using butt caps. To the op. Check fuse blocks for blown fuse

i typically use the plain male/female spade terminal put a little electrical tape to hold it when i put the deck into my dash. some times the female spades have to be tightened a little but a little squeeze with some vise grips and you'd be good to go

how u not dimming mofo? i have the same set up and i dim but i have the apsm 1300 lol.
for one u have the stupid honda eld and. for two the tuning of his box could allow him to play the common frequency range more efficiently than yours as yours may play more efficiently in another range. not to mention the differences in electrical setups even down the the ground resistance you could be worlds apart in the electrical range and have all the same equipment

i had it at 3 different tunings in 2 different size boxes. always dimmed. and he has a 8th gen civic also if i do remember right??

I have a 94 Accord

He has a 09 Civic

Mine dimmed off an old school 800W RF Punch. Got a group 34 AGM, did big 3, unplugged ELD, got a H/O alt, and now I'm bang'n a 1500W MB Quart ONX to sub and 75Wx2 to front stage without the slightest blink.

even then the chassis grounds in your car could have alot more resistance than his. this is all theoretical of coarse but im just saying many things can be different in the electrical circuit.

as far as the box goes a big box with a mild tune would require less power than a small box with the same tune thus allowing you to turn your amps down and run more efficiently

and generally speaking once you tune a box below the vehicles transfer function the sub has to work harder to produce the higher rage frequencies and is less efficient drawing more power from your amps and in turn your alt, same goes for tuning to high.

disclaimer: im not sure of transfer function was the right wording but i meant the lowest/highest frequency that the vehicle aids the sub to play after of which the sub has to fight to drown out the cancellation caused by the vehicles vibrations

ill prbly end up doing all this kept for the h/o alt for now. haven't gotten a chance to do the eld.
