hey does anyone have the crossover setting on their sub all the way down? i have an MTX 1501d pushing a 12" idMAX. i have the crossover knob all the way down which is supposedly 40 hz. i have it at this setting because when i play an 80hz test tone, i can hear it pretty well at full volume. my components are set so that when they play 80 hz, it is fully audible. so i guess i dont want or need to go any higher on the x-over setting right?

i would turn it up a little higher than that, there is probably a decent gap in there of audio that you are missing. Id turn up the LPF and if there is too much bass, lower the gain slightly.

Ive heard that if you can "locate" your subs from the base then ur LPF is to high and needs to be lowered. Becuase basee that the subs are suppsoed to deliver is non directional. So i sugest u should play around with ur lpf a little until u belive u cant locate ur subs any more. then put ur mids/midbass crossover point slightly higher?
