ok well to make a long story short i went into a place called audiowizards in buford GA. they are a dealer of DD. I bought my subs there and i blew one of them so i took it in so they could send it off for a recone. well they told me that I couldnt run two dual 4 ohm subs to a one ohm load and that was why my sub blew. i was like wtf? are you sure? they had me doubting myself but the people who work at some of these places never fail to surprise me. they said i could only run down to a 2 ohm load. this really had me confused. So i looked up the wiring diagrams and called them back and said i think that they were wrong and they tried to tell me DD's wiring for subs is different and that i need a dual 2 ohm sub if i want to run to a 1 ohm load. why would they tell me this?

lmfaooo.. some retarded people there, my local shop tried to sell me subs claiming that the particular subs they were trying to sell me wont make my trunk ''rattle''.. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL..

haha wow. havent heard that bad yet

tell them " my two dual 4 ohm subs, are each wired in parallel which is 2 ohms each. Now both subs wired together in parallel is a 1 ohm nominal ohm load to the amp. Do you understand?"

Then see what they say. then yell at them.!

i told a guy at best buy once that i had a pair of 8 ohm hifonics olympian 10's(about 10 years ago) and he asked me why i was running house speakers as subs. he claimed only house speakers came in 8 ohm. I just turned around and left

Yes they are. Its ok tho, do they know what ANL fuses are? One of mine sure didnt.....

The problem is they are a bunch of idiots who are "suppose" to know more than us since they are "professionals". So we, who may still be learning, will trust them and doubt ourselves.

haha yea thats pretty much what i said to them but they didnt understand i guess?

It's honestly sad to see dealer's that don't know what they're doing, especially dealers that carries DD products. Do you have their phone number and the guy that you talked to? I can give them a call and clarify it for them.
