but i have a newborn - my first... she is amazing but now i dont sleep

and work a crazy schedule - because my job relies on me to get it all done "in season"

summertime will be normal i hope

im just venting. and stressing

anyone else on here work so much they have zero daylight free hours to get anything done ?

ive been grabing an hour here and there on my audio install for the past 2 months

and im still 1/2 way to what all i want to do with it.

cry cry bla bla sad is me - guess this is growing up. yall young kids on the fourms stay young

hey man, go out and hire a room for two nights at a nice hotel/motel and you should have a night there alone, then swap with ya missus so she can have a bit of a breather too.

Hey man don't feel bad im in the same boat. 3 month old and working 60-72 hrs a week. Thank god for my wife if not i don't think i could make it. I don't get over time because im a sub contractor working for myself. The money is good but i get deadlines on the commercial jobs and that can be stressful. Hoping after this year i can save enough to open a shop and take it easy. Good luck though man it will get better.

72 impala - i actually moved out of coral springs and live closer to the beach in pompano highlands now - its allright tho still a family oriented hood just on a lesser $ scale

my job = event setup , removal , and custom construction. my bosses sell jobs / parties to rich people and or big companies and its my job to load up everything and take it there / set it up / and then take it down after the party is over. we do alot of work at ferrari and masaratti , as well as all the big hotels down here -

we just did a job at up scale clothing store nemin marcus - i built them a full size segment of a private jet airplane body for the models to walk thru as they entered on to the runway for a fassion show. my boss got the job last minute and i had 4 days to construct an airplane fuscelage from scratch - engineer it to fit in a moving truck - and assemble on site. the dam thing diddnt fit in the elevator there - and i had to cut it in to 1/4 pieces in the truck and re assemble with scabs once it was up on the third floor. it turned out pretty sweet - but the deadline was insane - and the preassure to suceed every time with out failure is becoming heavy.

maby its just lack of sleep.

or

maby its just me being bitter about having to constantly fabircate custom pieces for every event at last minute rush rush status all the while being cost concious and budget friendly per the profit margins.

I feel your pain, my son is 7.5 months old and I haven't slept longer than 5 hour at once since he was born. The last 2 months I don't hunk he's slept longer than 2 hours at a single stretch and we just moved into a new house a month ago.

Keep your head down and keep on trucking' it's super rough but the look on his face when I walk in the door and he sees me and starts lifting his arms to be picked up just melts any tiredness I feel at any point in time.

Union pipfitter on call everyday all year long. Work 24 hr shifts a few times a year. I feel your pain 100 but pay wise u guys arent making crap. We are up to 48.00 hr here. Granted taxes **** but for that kinda of work u guys should be making way more money. Im not trying to bash or anything so please dont take it the wrong way. I know how hard u drillers work and they aint paying u guys enough. That should be 75.00 an hour minimum.
