Just got in from work I am an Oil field mechanic which means you dont go home until the drilling rig is fixed. This last job due to the parts we had to order and waiting on the welders took 32 hrs to complete...
I get salary pay plus 500$ per 8 hr day. so for that 32 hr job I got 4 days per diem plus my salary. I think I am gonna buy myself some dc 18" subs for working so hard...I deserve it lol.... The big question is lvl 4's or lvl 5's.

Honestly, my hats off to you guys who work almost your entire life and yet still have family or a gf. I just think life is too short not to spend as much as you can enjoying it or being with someone. I quit my job on Feb 7th after 21 years. I missed the majority of my 4 kids childhoods working for a big corporation. My youngest is 16 and I decided I was going to be there for his last 2 years as a kid. I had finally come to the realization that life is short and you could easily waste it chasing that next big promotion or bonus. In the first month I have given up the pills my doctor gave me to cope with the stress and dropped 20 pounds. I hadn't slept without Ambien for close to 2 years and I started to sleep naturally 2 weeks ago. My advice would be to sit down and take a hard look at what is really important in life. Not sure what I will do for a paycheck in the future but I know that no matter what lifestyle adjustments are required it will be something I like to do. Again life is short.
