I'm going to reserve my opinion of RE...but please explain to me, empirically, as you claim JL is always the best option. If it is...this shouldn't be hard for you to do.

Are you fucking stupid? Have you ever used a Lightning Audio Storm amp? A RE XXX? A Tang Band sub? Have you ever heard a Fi? Seen an IA 20.1 burp at .17 ohms? Had your ear drums tickled by a DD 9515? I will uess what your answer to all of the above is no. Soif you have no clue what you're talking about,t hen don't say it.

I don't hate JL at all. In fact, my irst pair of 12's was a pair of W0's, and I loved them. There is nothing wrong with JL at all. I just hate to see people paying $500+ for a dub7 when they could be getting something that sounds just as good or better, with more output for cheaper. It also pisses me off when people think that all there is to audio is JL, MTX, RF, and Kicker. They all make quality products, but again, you can get more for less.

You need to search around quite a bit. I'm not trying to hate on you, but RE is one of the best brands in car audio. They are not cheap, they are actually more expensive than JL audio. JL audio is a good brand but it is not the best. There is no "best" brand, different companies are strong in different areas and some companies are just better than others.

Take a look at this sub and tell me if it's cheap.

JL is good stuff, and indeed, you can't go wrong with them. All nice stuff. All the brands you listed above are nice, also.

We hate on JL because everyone and their mom has it, and go around spouting off that JL is the shit, and that everything else pales in comparison to them. There is louder stuff than JL, there is cleaner stuff than JL, and there is louder, cleaner and cheaper than JL. It's hilarious to go into some of the douchefarms here in town that call themselves shops, because if you ask them how a W7 would sound as good as an RE XXX or Fi Q, they'll laugh in your face and tell you that RE and Fi are junk companies with shitty products. I even had one dude tell me a Kicker L7 sounds bad because it can't make round sound waves, and that for SQ, the only way to go is a W6.

But there are lots of companies out there with exceptional products that go unrecognized because they don't have the money to mass produce and promote their products to the extent that JL does, not because they ****. Stick around and read up on the forums and you might learn a thing or two.

JL audio is a great brand...im not going to say it isn't cause in fact it is. Price is relative...what is cheap to some may be expensive to others. The W6v2 is probably one of the better sounding drivers that I have had the privilage to audition. But saying RE is garbage is far from an accurate evaluation of that company. RE builds some solid drivers that are on par with JL Audio, No only do they build great sounding subwoofers, but they also build some of the loudest subwoofers on the planet (RE MT) and this holds true because of the ammount of competitiors that use these drivers everyday...

Can this be said about JL Audio...No. They are not a company that is geared towards loud...call them, ask them, they will tell you that they aren't in this business to be the loudest.

What it boils down to is what works best for you...if JL Audio works best...hey use it, if some 16 year old kid thinks that his pyle blue waves are the best thing in the world hey...let him. Don't bash companies for the sake of bashing them. The only thing we can do is simply give our opinions when our opinions are wanted.
