My home car audio install

I had no choice but to use a prefab box. I can do cad design but I have no tools to cut wood. As far as the amps. Ive ran Bryston amps and the US AMPS are comparable if not better. I have an amp rack for the amps, but im just waiting to carpet it and finish it off. The sub is overkill and as it is i have it set to min, but at least im getting some use out of it rather than it just sit around and wait for an install.

The us amps cost me about 300 a piece depending on which one, where as a bryston is minimum 600 used and can run up to 3000 for a newer 4B. For similar specs, I can get a US AMP for a fraction of the cost.

I disagree with those that think it is a poor way to spend money. For under $1000 my buddy has a stable 2500wrms running to his 2 FI SSD 18s in his house. Try getting that kind of power from a home audio amp for the same money!
I use car audio amps in my house as well. I'm running 600wpc from a PPI a1200 to my speakers. No way could I afford that kind of power from a home audio amp!

Still though, I would rather run car amps for my speakers (not sub). I just run them off a Kinetic HC600 that I got in a trade. I can a 100wpc amp all day long off that battery, and then charge it at night. I did actually run one amp for 5 hours straight, battery only dropped from 12.8 to 12.6.

connect the charger and turn it on while the amp is in use. unless it causes noise issues.

And what is his "stable" power supply that's pumping out a good 200A?

Um, yes. yes. yes. yes.
3000wrms on an APX18 in my house = Powerthirst
3kw in a house is highly unnecessary. A properly built and tuned setup running 300w would blow you away. Home theater setups don't have to overcome road noise therefor less power is needed.

truth be told my pioneer sx-3700 on a pair of cs-99a's were plenty of home audio for me. and my uncle's sansui g33000 on 4 cerwin vega 15" 4 ways was overkill!!!

Plus that pioneer had one of the best phono sections ever made in a receiver .

As posted there are plenty of pro audio amps that will put out that much power for less money. I run an EP2500 which is about 2kw for around $450 shipped.
