I'd say hang out with her alone before you tell her anything...people can act differently when they are alone as opposed to being with other people. Make plans in advance to do something- don't do movies, as you can't really talk to each other. I'd say something like mini golf or something along those lines would be appropriate.

word, mini golf/bowling etc. chicks are suckers for that kind of stuff.
