My friend needs help.

My friend came over today he wanted me to check out his subs cause he said they're not as loud as they used to be so I checked everything and his battery was sitting at 13.8 at idle, which imo is not good cause mine is 14.4. I believe that's the problem.

He's running 2 kicker crxs at 2000 watts with stock everything and his amp kit is wal-mart 4 gauge crap. So he's going to upgrade his electrical and wires.

My questions are how much 0 gauge wire does he have to get to do the big 3 and a run to the amp in back?

And what kind of batteries should he get? I said kinetiks cause that's what I run and it serves me well. He does have 2 battery trays up front.

But he means that some alternators charge the batteries to 13.8volts instead of 14.4volts. My car is like this. So its not the battery. I would try resetting the head unit, in case he messed with settings he shouldn't have and I would check the wires from the subs.

I didn't know that, sorry.

My bad, I was in a rush and put crx for some reason. CVX there, lol.

And he has a tahoe and I have a blazer so I figured they would both be at 14.4.

But he does need to upgrade his wire from 4 gauge if he's trying to push 2000 watts rms through it.....and he said he hasn't touched the settings in weeks.

Also, we did check the wires, and everything else, all looks good.
