No sir.
It's compatible with any HU. You don't see the RCA inputs or the digital inputs? There's plenty of people using them with Eclipse HU. It's just that You'll need the controller if you went that route. Alpine's high:greedy: HU with screens just have the ability to control that processor w/o the the remote.

He asked for a processor under $500 with the ability of remote, and I showed him one.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif There's absolutely nothing wrong with the AC piece, it's awesome and I'm sure you'll enjoy going that route.
yeah... thats what i meant. that you would have to get the controller too and that would put the price well over $500

yessir just hold on to your britches for a few days more than one... this is going to pick up in pace here when i get out of school next tuesday //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How much were those RCAs?
Radioshack, $26 after tax, 20'

The "Front" and "Rear" RCAs are the thicker 20' ones that cost me $26 (one now and one about 8 months ago) and then the "Sub" RCA i actually bought about a year and a half ago for like $17. it's thinner, and only 15' i think. maybe even less, i dont know. That one might have to be ran through the center of the car, and if I have to run the shorter one through the center, i will run the longer through the center as well.

same ones (the old pair) that my buddy uses in his SPL van //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

do you liek the HU more in the flushmount mode?

it took some ingenuity because it left about 1/4" on each side of the HU, where you can see through to where the bolts were

so i cut strips of fleece and shoved them in there evenly with a screwdriver. yay

it doesn't look bad. i think i'll keep it just so i dont have to take it out again though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

what do you think?

from the picture it looks good. i wonder if you can cut up a piece of ABS and fab a filler for the gap...

you might just be better off getting the kit from your local retialer for ~$25 though - it still uses the factory brackets and cup, but it has a ABS cagemount thing on top so its nice and flush and you can use your trim ring

i am going to have to wait until i see the current install in daylight. and if it's not noticably better, i think i'm going to just mount it back exactly like i had it yesterday.

btw req - i took off the two stubborn clips of the bezel (?) off so it doesnt crack any worse. it still sits in the same place, so that's a plus.

You can pick up a pxa combo for less than $600. I picked up mine for $350 used on the forums. I would keep my eyes open and go the alpine route, i had an ac piece before and prefer my alpine hands down. It just has a ton more flexibility.

he just got a pair of tweeters in the mail i believe //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
