Because either people dont' care about the looks, or they like it raw. I sont like carpet myself, the hard work put into the box doesn't need to be covered up by fabric.

I think carpet looks a hell of a lot better. You can match your system looks to your car.

Why did you drill the hole right in the front of the box with the wires coming out? It would have looked much better you did it behind the box.
