My first experience building a box (or woodworking for that matter)

As for cosmetics, I wouldnt build the box up so high. I would try and make it more like you drew it in the picture back on page one. Cant wait to see the finished product //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i showed the pics to my dad who is currently out of town. He thinks i'm some kind of idiot lol. I did redo the math though and i need to cut another inch off the two side pieces. It is still pretty **** tall though. Anybody have any suggestions to make it look less tall or something haha

Im already over my 10 post limit for today so I really hope NJizm only meant Lounge posts.

As for making it not so tall, all I can really suggest is making it longer and wider. Because from what I can see, you are going to end up blocking off that whole section of your car anways so go ahead and make your box look nice atleast.

that is definately a good idea. I don't know why i didn't think of that in the first place lmao. I don't know if i want to just finish this box and work on a new one later, or scrap this right now. Either way i need to go buy some more mdf

fiberfill might help, if you want to make the box a bit smaller //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well, since it appears you've already put a good number of holes in this wood, Id just start over. Plus this time, hopefully, if you measure everything out first this time, the sides will be one piece so it doesnt look like 2 boxes on top of each other.

Edit: I went and looked at the first pics again. If you are careful about deassembling your box, you could probably keep the base of it and just stretch it out forwards without having to start completely over.

Just curious, but do your other family member woodwork? Because thats a fairly nice table saw for someone whos never woodworked before. Well, its Bosch anyways...
