I think 6" is just enough clearance. If you don't have enough room it can effectively lengthen the port and lower tuning.

i know many guys here dont run too many pioneers, on average, but i REALLY love those subs pioneer made

i havent seen anyone else running them. i got all 4 brand new which was hard coz they are older pioneer models from a few years ago
