My first box (in progress) Pics

yeah thats the one Jmac designed. looks better in person than in the pics. It dont have globs of silicon like the pics show it its actually very smooth. Not sure why it shows like that in the pics. Im seriously considering fiberglassing the front too, and adding a piece to the left side for a amp mount. still in progress in my head though.

was this meant for SQ or SPL?
SPL but maintain some SQ So not quite SQL more like SPQ LOL. I mean it is an SPL speaker and it peaks at 37hz according to pioneer so thats what I went for, of course im not expecting brahma SPL but better than most speakers in this price range hopefully //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

what do you mean? the port opening is 1.75" x 11.5"
In the box at the end of the port it is very close to the port wall. That little opening would have to be at least 2.65" for the tuning to not be effected.

Maybe it is big enough. I'm just checking for ya.

couple more pics got it sealed, sanded, and hole cut. I would show a pic with the speaker in but when i test fitted it I almost couldnt get it out cause it was so tight it forms a seal so Im not putting it back in till its ready to stay.

I asked that before cutting the hole and was told it would be the same on the left or right. I just chose right cause Im adding a piece to the left to hide the wires and mounting my amp on the front.
