My F'd Up Situation Please Help!

And a 10" subwoofer would? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
Hit them? When i was using them they were really under-powered or however you'd say it and i dont remember a song that u couldnt really bump to. The 15's wouldnt hit half the songs you'd want to play but then when they did it was louder than hell.

and my mom... idk what to even say about that. Shes my mom though so i just gotta deal with it but i think she needed the money.. I'm still pretty upset but sadly its something i could expect from her.

I know im a total noob at this stuff. I dont want to be annoying but is there anyone who could maybe point me in the direction of amps i would want to look in to if i did want to use 1 for both? I did shopping on the internet for 1 before and quickly found out rms ratings are really bad on some amps. And lots of u seem pretty pro...

ok here is my f'd up situation. In the past I had 2 10'' Kicker l5's given to me. Then i went ahead and purchased to 15'' kicker cvr's sometime later. Long story short i was only 17 and didnt have the cash for an amp to power either sets so they were kind of sitting around but regardless they were very important to me. I moved out and i had left one of each set back at my mom's and the other sub of each set is with me at my apartment. earlier this week i decided to ask my sister to check on them... and i find out my mom has sold them right under my nose.
So now i am stuck with an 10'' L5 and a 15'' CVR.

I have no amp.

So I'm basically asking what do you think? Should i just sell them? Would these 2 make an alright duo. I think they are both around 500 rms so is it possible to buy an amp at about 1000 rms and just hook them both up? I need opionions please. Thank you.

Hook the 15 up to a Kicker 750.1 and wire it down to 2 ohms.

Ok so now I'm asking a different question. I came to the conclusion both wont work? so I'm thinking of selling the 15 because i know it won't hit all the songs as the 10 will. I'm going for quality more than quanity if anything right now. So is $100 on craigslist seem like a good buy for a barely used CVR? They go for 150 on ebay new...

Alright. You're confused with the typical stereotypes.

First off, there's a quality difference between the CVR and L5. The size means nothing here. The 15" sub will hit everything the same as the 10" sub will, and in fact, it'll be louder. That doesn't mean it gets lower easier, but it gets louder due to more cone area.

However, the L5 is a better sub overall than the CVR. I wouldn't go with mainstream brands here for quality - but it's at least decent, and you already have it.

I just want to make sure you understand that it has nothing to do with the size. A 10" sub will not be cleaner than a bigger sub, or hit higher notes better. They're all designed towards the lower frequencies. The design makes the difference, the cone area means it gets louder with less power. It doesn't make the difference in what notes it plays.

I would recommend the L5 on 750 watts or so. As said a 750.1 works, but it's also moderately expensive. A hifonics 1210 could work well for it. Is it a dual 4 or a dual 2?

You're getting a lot of shit thrown at you, so PM me if you have some questions, and I'll help ya out.

on a serious note i think its pathetic that your mother would steal from you. does she have a drug problem? selling your kids belongings without telling him is crack head shit.

no man shes no crackhead lol someone on another forum said that 2. It is messed up but honestly my mom is a recovered alcoholic like 4 or 5 yrs now but she's one of those people that kinda goes from job to job n is always "sick" and what not. IDK its messed up but sadly i could expect it from her. She see's nothing wrong with it i think she figured i wouldnt notice or something stupid. But now i just gotta deal with it and never leave my stuff around her again.
