My experience with Digital Designs

It first started out about 3 months ago I blew up a 9515. Then it was suppose to get reconed that week that I blew the sub. Well, come to find out it is over 2 months and they never sent it back to DD. It was sitting at an employee's house. Now after 3 months, I finally got it back and was very excited to see what I could do with it in Bass Race and DbDrags. I did Bass Race first and it didn't even make it 30 seconds. In the time I have owned the DD9515s, I have had a total of a week of play time on the 2.

Very unhappy with this experience and was wondering if anyone else had problems with Digital Designs.

what were you powering it with and at what load? clipping the amp?

wow what were you powering it with? in all my experiences with DD, ive blown 1 coil on a sub and that is all, that was due to me being stupid and playing subsonic burps. but other than that i beat the crap out of em everyday and no problems here.

so what were you powering it with/what size box, tuning, etc.

Been playing around with DD's for a while now and no real problems, even triped a circut breaker with one and it was still fine.. soo your eather over powereing them how? or not doing something right.

I was using a Powerbass 3000d at 1 ohm. I don't know anything about the box I just payed for it and it wails.

the powerbass wouldn't come close to blowing it unless you were clipping it....and the box sounds iffy if you dont even know the specs of it.

User Error, not the subs fault u dont know anything about audio.. hopefully you dont take offense to that, but u did say u just know it wails...

it's DD the only time that letter combo is any good is if it refers to tits.

no problems here. I'm considering having my motors made into 99's.

I pushed mine over the limits on purpose during testing to SEE what they could do.

They took 20.1's strapped to .35 on each amp like champs until I went into the danger area. Poor subs still lasted a while.

It sounds like you had dealer issues. I'da been all over their @ss MUCH sooner than 3 months.

A friend of mine built me a box I gave him the dimensions of my trunk and let him take care of it. If you don't like "wails" how does "sounds very nice" or "it is loud".

Im sorry....but a box is one of the most important parts of the Car Audio Equation. Not knowing basic box design and understanding basic box theory...means you dont know alot about car audio.

well you are the idiot that seems to have blown quite possibly one of the best hand built subs ever. we run 4-9515's in our truck off a pair of Z1's and brutalize them and have held up for over a year now.
