My Excessive Amperage 200 amp HO Alternator with voltage regulator for 16V cont

Thats what i was refering to, I have a 300 amp with the exact same external regulator and i would like to run 16v, with no fears of the computer ever seeing more than 14.5.. But i wouldnt want to go out and get an expensive step-down module when i need to spend the money on a few 16v batterys.. The OP could do the same thing I most likely will have to do though, run the dual post kinetik. The step-down module is an option, but keeping it simple will be very helpful in my and your case (OP).
Yeah, i edited my above post after I carefully read your post. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Anyways, you can go either way whether its the kinetik battery or the stepdown modules.

According to a few competitors I know, it is better to run the stepdown modules because the hybrid kinetiks cells tend to get overcharged/undercharged because of the way they are designed and charged. However, I know some people run them without issues.

sounds like nate.. .selling you something u dont need.... he prolly didnt take in to consideration what u drove and was just trying to make the extra money... sounds like nate though... and id have that alt test... my EA alt was suppost to be 300a.. i think it was test at around 135a FTL

Nate gave him exactly what he asked for, an alt capable of 16 volts.

Good thing nate gave him an external regulator instead of just a straight 16v alt because then the OP would have been screwed.

but when he told him the vehicle he was driving. and asked for 16v he should have explained what he was getting himself into... that would have been good cs
True, but if the guy knew what he wanted then why would nate divulge into asking the customer 1000 questions?

I'm sure nate gets calls all the time from guys running 16v setups and 2nd alts.

It's honestly both sides fault. The OP for asking for a 16v alternator when he's running normal 12v batts and nate's fault for not making sure the customer is getting what they needed.

I picked mine up from a reliable third party whos gotten good alts from him in the past, and still have faith i wont have a problem since its a gm big case.. If the step-down is a safer route, i'll look into it. I'm worried about adding another electronic that could go bad, but at the same time i dont want to worry about frying the kinetik and i'd prefer to try powermaster once i have more cash to spend.. I don't plan on running 16v immediately once the alternator is installed, I have no competition experience and i don't want to get bumped into a higher class right away..

Since i like editing: To the above post, at least the alternator comes with the external regulator. He should be able to keep a steady 14 volts, compared to whatever it was dropping to before with the stock alternator, hes not locked into running 16v until hes done more research

My first email to EA:

Year:2007

Make:Hyundai

Model:Accent Sedan

Engine size: 110-hp 1.6L DOHC inline four-cylinder engine coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission.

I need a HO alt for my car WITH the proper brackets. How much?

-----

Reponse:

I can custom build you a 200 ampa lternator that will bolt on with no modifications. It would be $375 with shipping included in the U.S.

2nd email:

what will you need from me besides my cash?

Response:

I accept paypal at this email address. Once I receive payment, I can start on it for you. If you send the payment, Please include the vehicle info so I will know what it is for. Thank you,

3rd email:

My alt does 16 volts like it should for a high output.

I'm sorry for all the emails ect but i've been trying to get ahold of you to talk to you on the phone. Deals still on I just want to make sure of what i'm getting!

Response:

The alternator will not give you 16 volts unless you purchased the external regulator that is adjustable.

-------------

I came home Friday night and my alternator was here.

To me it seems like he knew what I wanted because of my emails. What do you think?

Dude, he sold you what you asked for. He doesn't have time to baby sit you.

Dude.. I asked to receive parts that will run with my stock car. How old are you 18? This isn't how it works when you buy from someone offline concerning major car parts. They ask you for the make and model. Which he did. If it's a part that you want to run extra stuff on and it's a good company they ask you what you want to do. He told me that if I wanted to run 16v off my system I needed to get a regulator.

He gave you what you asked for.Plan and simple. You wanted a 16v alt that would bolt directly on.That's what you got.

Maybe you should take resposibilty for being so iggnorant as to not do any home work before you made such a purchase.

Well I didn't think he'd sell me something for my car that wouldn't work! Can't trust anyone to help you out now a days. So much for the repeat business

x2

so so far with your system lets see.. you have ordered an alt that doesn't work for your you, gotten turned down to have a box done because you are an arrogant idiot, and are now planning on paying 1500 FOR A BOX.

get real kid. its just a Hyundai, its just 2 10's, and you just **** at life.

between this and the box thread I'm 100% sure you are a retard.

no. you are supposed to know what you want, or ask. he doesn't have time to babysit you. you wanted 16 volts, you got it. I'm fucking flabbergasted that you are here *****ING about getting EXACTLY WHAT YOU ORDERED. how in toe world does that work?

He gave you what you asked for.Plan and simple. You wanted a 16v alt that would bolt directly on.That's what you got.Maybe you should take responsibility for being so ignorant as to not do any home work before you made such a purchase.

so now the alt doesn't even work? i would say that is a warranty issue. man, you really are setting sail for fail.
