Ok to make it easier to find the info on this sub I am gonna post most the info on this build on this post and a second post.
Oh yah I have made some revisions to the design and will be modifying the box soon, I will add a third baffle to the front but have the ports and sub counter sunk, and the screws for the ports also counter sunk. The grill will lose 1 1/2" of depth also.
When I first got the sub I had definitive technology 7001s towers with built in 1800 watt plate amps so I decided to hook one up to see what I would get and hope not to buy an amp
But what I got was not to good first graph is with the sub alone and second graph is the sub and the towers playing together and as you can see with the tower playing it actually lost bass down low ( one of the reasons I switched towers and another was my bro gave me a killer deal on his towers )
Here is the inside of the box (remember the box is 1.5" mdf all around, I did round off all the sharp edges on the bracing and also in the corners the 90 degree angles are now 45 degree angles to help with performance and also fiberglassed the inside of the box to help with output, also the ports are longer now
Got the ep 2500 and look how much the response changed!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif This is in room measurement with no eq no smoothing at listening position!
Made a grill for it and it changed the response just a tad
