My Custom Box Design using WinISD - Will it work?

a sub on each side of the box looks ok to me if Im understanding you correctly
Not what I was meaning. I'm being retarded lol. I will double baffle once my sub comes in Probs make some L brackets on the inside to support the top.

The box on the left is how my box is now, would there be any difference in the sound if I replaced the top with another one that is like the one on the right? Thats what I was asking.

box looks good so far, Yeah bigger boxes = efficient = more sound outta your woofers, that single woofer is getting like 4.7 cubes all to itself lol its lovin it. As for the picture in your post above, there's some difference but I would do the right one to move the subs away from the mouth of the port.

Okay that's what I was thinking. I can redo that top no problem lol. Glad I had a lot of mdf left over. The only thing I hate about new box builds my car smells like saw dust for at least 4 weeks :')

look good
Thanks.

Also, 2 'last' things hopefully.

1. Inverting the subs I need to set the polarity to 180 degrees on my amp correct?

2. I noticed even with one sub and this could be because the box is not very stable in its current position (don't have rubber feeting yet). When it hits a really hard note, the box kinda jumps around, like I said could be because its a little wobbly in the positioning, there isn't a major flaw with my box causing it to do this correct?

You can throw some carpet on it and it will smell like new car for a few weeks.......

Thanks.

1: yes, just play around with the phase switch until you are happy with the sound, keep volumes moderate when doing this.

2: might not be heavy enough or add some bracing. Use industrial strength Velcro to hold it down.

1. Okay good. I am going to redo the top and put the subs more towards the middle so I can invert them. Miss calculated it by .3 inches and my hatch won't close T_T

2. When I make the new top I am going to double baffle it and also add bracing to keep the box flex to a minimum. Sounds good?

What it currently looks like. Ignore the speaker wire coming out of the port I am waiting to get my second hds312 before I put bolts in the back of the box.

Are you inverting for looks or for more airspace? Might want to just wait till the other hds 12 comes, put it in first and see how it sounds then make changes later.
Mainly looks, but that is an additional .4 cubes too. I love the style of inverted subs. I plan on waiting till the other HDS312 comes and doing all of it then. I will still put it in just like it is and see, and adjust from there like you were saying.

You don't think moving it up and in a little on each side is going to effect it negatively do you ?
