my built ported box

im building a ported box the dimensions are 20 width 15 high 20 deep

the port is about 2.5 inches wide top from bottom all the way on the left side of the box with the sub on the righter side, will this work good you think? the cu ft is 2.65

A port isn't jsut a hole in a box...you have to have a depth component to it, so if you mean it's just a hole, then no it will not work. What do you want your box tuned at? Stick around before you damage your sub and learn a few things. People here are glad to help you out.

That box isnt gonna be 2.65 cubes after you throw a sub in (-.1 to -.25 depending on sub) and after the port (- quite a bit of space depending on tuning) youll end up closer to 2 cubes or less.

well how should i put the port in? and its for one twelve, and i know nothin about tuning it in? i could make it 2 inches wider maybe then, im in the process of making it, is it worth doing that? it reccomends 2.3 for everday bass and 3.1 for spl comp,
