My box, input wanted...

This is the plan for my box. I didn't feel like giving demensions in sketchup so i'll type them. The back rectangle is 5.25" deep 9.5" high and 38" long. The two identical wedges are 14" deep, 15" high1, 5" high2, and 13" long each. The middle section is 14"deep, 12" high1, 2" high2, and 12" long. I am throwing two kicker comp's 12's 150rms each, introductory level for me. I got them uber cheap so I won't complain. The middle section is obviously for my amp. Kicker recommends about 2.5 cubes of volume and This box has about 2.3 cubes, I'm gonna settle. Let me know what you think. If it will work/sound okay. I don't really know how to estimate the hz it will be... if someone can help me that'd be great. I was shooting for 32. Excuse my screenshots.

(I designed it to fit over the wheel well in my ford explorer)

looks pretty sweet, what program did you use to design that?
sketch up...

dude... that box looks really nice.... Keep that design, and make sure to get allot of good pics. I'd like to see the finished product. Other then that... Very sturdy design, everything serves as a brace so you do not have to brace much inside... (other then maybe in the middle between the subs behind the amp rack.. basically a chamber devider. asthetically pleasing to the eye, and should give a real nice clean install... Good job.

sealed boxes dont not have tuning frequencies at all...They are designed around a number referred to as Qtc which is beyond my current understanding.
Hah okay. Even after days and nights of reading pages and pages of tutorials, not once was it ever clearly stated that sealed boxes do not require tuning. Thank you for finally clearing that up. Makes life much easier and less confusing for me. That is a good piece of info for noobs like myself.

lol no problem. All you need to do is build an airtight box to a certain volume...thats it. No ports, no tuning, just 6 walls and no air leaks...
Yeah sounds good, I'm going to stick with my above plans, with minor modifications which will only make the final install cleaner looking. Carpet is in the plans, but far off for now. Thanks for the help.
