So I just installed an mtx amp and two 10" mtx subs. Everything works fine but when i turn the car off, the amp will stay on and wont turn off. i have the remote turn on wire linked to the radio fuse in the fuse box, and i don't think this is the problem but i may be wrong. what else could it be? Im pretty sure i have the amp grounded correctly too but i may be wrong.

If you originally had the remote wire going to the fuse for the radio then it is technically hooked up to the 12V power wire for the head unit. This always has power running through it. Instead you want it wired to the remote wire on the HU like stated above, OR I believe the ignition wire or power antenna wire should work the same way.

ok, and where could i find those?
so you were lying. these ignition accessories can be located in the magical forest under the dash known as the fuse box. you'll need the almighty test light or digital multimeter to test which ones come one when you turn on the ignition and than go behind the fuse box with a t-tap and tap the wire of use a piggy back tap or if you can find them a fuse tap.
