My amp is killing my battery

Before we all jump to conclusions please test by the following steps above and we will go from there. No worries we will get it sorted out for you.

I am going to try putting a toggle switch in, but should i really put it on the remote wire, i think that i should put it on the power wire that goes to the battery. Or should i put it on the remote wire. And another thing, I have been riding all day without it hooked to the battery, and so i decided to hook it up and give it another try but when i hooked it up to the battery the car wouldnt start, but when i unhooked it, then it started right up. I am really gettin confused.

they sell 5 guage wire at wal mart. put the toggle on the remote wire

umm...the toggle switch....

The toggle switch works great i have no complaints

or use a switched ignition lead, only problem is sometimes you get a pop or thump, your deck ahould have a remote wire

Then the amp was not shutting off when you turn off your car.
