My amp is either in protect mode or died ..

So .. i dont have front stage no more ... due to the amp blinking on and off .. not sure if the amp is blown or if its something else .. i changed the fuse.. but nothing .. i was checking all the cable .. still nothing .. i just think the amp is the problem and maybe the wires .. the guy who installed my amp used 12gauge power wire .. and i think it shouldve been something like a 8gauge .. but .. im not sure .. anyone wanna chime in ?

12 gauge power wire thats suspect right there. most likley if the light keeps blinkin itsin protect mode. wat are the specs on the amp? and how are you running ur interiors?

did you change your wire to something bigger? if not do that first and see what happens

Definately try at least 8 gauge. If it still happens, then I dont know what to tell you.

well it was working with the 12gauge wire when it was first installed .. but like 6mths later it just stopped and started making weird noises ..

well the amp only has 1 color .. red .. it use to be SOLID red .. now its blinking red ..

well you might have a short in one of your wires somewhere. did you change the impedence of the speakers?

nope .. they havent been touched .. only thing i have changed was the speaker wires .. since the guy who installed it made them short and they would disconnect ...
