My amp for powerful speakers

I have Diamond Hex S600s comps in the front rated at 150 watts RMS and CDT Audio CL-S60A comps in the rear rated at 110 Watts RMS. I want to use my Arc Audio 4050 4 channel amp because I like the Amp.

The Amp is only 4X55 @ 4 ohms , will this work ok with so little power to these speakers?

Yes it would work, but obviously not the ideal choice for the speakers. And speakers arent powerful, they handle power. The CDTs and Diamonds could easily do double the power you are giving them though.

OK so you got 110 to the Diamonds and 110 to the CDT. You will be fine with the ARC. The thing is the ARC is rated at 4x55 you know you are getting a true 4x55 vs. some cheap amp bullsh** pwr rating and clean pwr. Its always nice to have some head room. The ARC are generally underrated just a little. What are the gains set at on the amp running everything?

The amp is a 4050XXK-very nice equipment/some of the best.

You could always bridge it. Run the front speakers off the amp, and the rears off the HU. That's if your Head Unit have an internal amp..

What are you going to do bridge it and run 360w to the front, guess you would have plenty of head room. Thats way overkill for a HEX set. I used to run the HEX of a JL 300/2 with the gains mabey 1/2 way up and they where screaming. What a waste of a 4 channel amp. If you going the HU route then just go active up front and use that awsome amp or Bi-amp if possible.

Ok I put in the 4050 today. Used a scope and set the HU at 31/35 No clipping. Adjusted the Gains to send 110 to the Diamonds and 100 to the CDT's. It sounds wonderful. I have 600 Watts going to 2 tens in the back. I think I have more Bass than Mid's and Highs but I am very pleased.

So now we are quoting thread titles. Instead of statements within the thread. So we are going to start criticizing thread titles now. Grow-up. Just give good advice no need to critic a thread title, it does not affect the outcome and should not affect your statements within the thread.

Biker-very glad you like it. You have some great equipment and you are headed in the right direction. Congrats.

You can adjust the gains on the sub amps a little mabey to tone it down just a little, don't forget.
