My amp has been shutting down after about 3-4 min of play at low volumes and reading "CURR" on its digital display....owners manual says its getting too much current and it shuts it off as a safety measure. (Thank god for that, but now, what the heck do I do about this?) The manual basically says....find the source and eliminate it....GWIZ, thanks alot for the expertise Alpine!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif Suggestions would have been a plus. lol. Anyway, I saw another thread saying that its essential to have a short ground...well....mine is over 1 foot. Anyone think this may be the issuse? And one more thing? Can someone give me the quick and dirty on Current vs. Voltage? I went to school for business! lol. Thanks!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Your length of Ground isnt too long, My MRD-M501 had the same "Curr" on it once upon a time, but went away after i turned off the car and turned it back on. never seen it again

one possible thing you could take a look as is that really small volt toggle, mine is right next to the RCA input. i think i have mine in ~1.8-2V something like that.
