My 3rd Fi Q 15" Box...A little help?

Umm, I don't pay for food
Ok, first I made my 4cu @ 32hz box for my 15" Fi Q and it was too big to put in from the trunk, so I had to remove the back seats to get it in. Then I built (what I currently have in my car) my 2cuft Sealed box, but I want more output, again...So I want to do a ~3cu ft @ 32hz box with smaller dims so I can get it in and out of my trunk without taking the back seats out.

I am really tired and was wondering if anyone help me out a bit with this new box. I am going to have the sub firing up and the port firing towards the taillights (just like my 4cu @ 32hz box).

Max dims : 28"w x 28"d x 14"h

I so am looking for ~3cu ft @ 32hz after disp (port and sub...sub disp is .18cuft)

48sq.in port area?

3cu.ft?

~32Hz tuning freq?

then believe me or not, you need 35inch lengh port //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

does that leave less than 3cu ft @ port and sub (.18cu ft) displacement?
How do you calculate that?

I made calculator on excel //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I need to enter Port area, Port Lengh, box volume after all disp. and I get tuning freq.

So I enter your info and got it, simple //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Here you go... 3 @ 32hz w/ 47 sq/in of port.

Thanks, I was going to make a sketch up when I was done finding out the measurements.

Looks good.

So you are sure that it comes out to 3cu ft @ 32hz net?

Is there any port length measurements?

Also, is that double baffle?

That leaves me 3.5cu ft after port and sub.
4.7cuft - 1cuft(port) - .2cuft(sub) = 3.5cu ft

Did you get that same calc?
I always take into consideration the area of the port piece as well. Plus i over estimate by .3 cube.... won't affect tuning very much and bigger is better than smaller
