SPL Enclosure...First Build

I wanna build a strictly SPL enclosure for my DD 9515. Just to make sure I'm doing it correctly, I need to tune a few frequencies below the resonant frequency of the vehicle right?

If so, how would I go about doing that? I've been told something about putting the woofer in a large sealed enclosure and finding what frequency hits the highest. I have a TL (i'll have it tomorrow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif) so it would be easier to find the best frequency.

Can someone explain exactly how I would go about building the best spl enclosure? Thanks!

lol. i did it the cheap way and i later found the actual freq and i was accurate. take a sweep that you know what second correspond to freq. then take a sealed box and a shitty db meter from radio shack.
