From left to right:

DD 9515 weighing 45lbs

RE HC weighing 39lbs

Soundsplinter Rl-p weighing 34.5lbs

Weighed them all myself today!

I just wet the front of my pants. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

There is something about a nice sub pic that gets me motivated.

Ive had the HC for years. I just got it back from a recone. The Rl-p I got in March and have had it in my car until today when I put the HC back in.

The DD hasnt seen any power from me, its dual 2 I need a dual 4 or 1. So im gonna meet up with king of the parking lot and try to blow it up with a 2500d. Then ill get it reconed to D4.

Ive had the HC in my car starting today and about an hour of listening on it since I put it in. As of right now given same box same amp same gain settings. The RL-p sounds better with the power im giving it (~450) but you can tell the HC is louder and really wants more power. Im going to let it loosen up for a day or 2 then im going to torture it with bass mekanik and ill have a another video. Im going to use the same song as I used in my RL-p video so you guys can see a nice real head to head.

The box is 2.5 sealed gross

Amp is a Kicker 700.5

My HC spec sheet is back at my parents house so Im not sure if the box is to large for the HC yet. Though it does sound pretty good in its current enclosure. I also prefer larger sealed box over ported or small sealed.

Actually they are exactly the same (besides paint). There are company's that design and build speaker baskets to supply speaker manufacturers.

as are all 12 spoke baskets you see on the market the same //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

a basket is a basket, as long as it is the right size and will allow for the ammount of excursion the driver is capeable of its good to go.

however stamped baskets are another story...most dont like to be pounded with a lot of power nor to they off very much excursion in most cases. the old RE's used the same basket as some cheapo sub in a $60 bass tube
