My 15" BTL on a kx2500.1 (videos and pictures)

So as promised, here are some videos and pictures of the fully loaded btl 15". Also included are pictures of my electrical etc.

-Connected to a kicker kx2500.1 @ 1.4ohms , birthsheet states 2960 @ 2 ohms

-Gain set to give 3kw rms. impedance rise, music dynamics, etc etc will change that, but its set to recieve 3kw

-Its in 4.5^3ft @ 33 hz with 90^2in or port. box idea was basically stolen from ngsm13. yes i had to use a sheet of 3/4" Birch for the front baffle since i didnt want to buy a whole 4x8 sheet of mdf just to cut out that piece.

probably. i went to like 3 different places to try to make sure there would be no people around when i filmed it as to not piss anyone off.

got tired since i couldnt find shit, said **** it, then finally just pulled over on that dirt patch up a little hill by a highschool. basically just wanted to get vids of the subs and get outta there.

On to the woofer: the sound quality is definitely not that bad. its also not nearly as peaky as i expected it to be. my friend actually likes the sound of my btl over his bl's. now keep in mind this is a fully loaded BTL, so maybe some options helped trying to regain a little bit of sq from a sub that is definitely geared towards a street beating application. only issue i find is what im assuming to be tinsel slap, as it sure as hell doesnt sound like bottoming out, which i can do to this sub as well. the sub does have some marks in the felt pads and the spiders from the tinsels though, so i know the tinsels can touch the cone and spider pretty regularly on this sub. i bought it used, but it already had these marks so just a bit more evidence that this can and does happen with these drivers. good thing is, even in my SUV, you cant hear the tinsels unless your looking right at the driver, or at least i cant.

as far as output: its got pretty good output thats for sure. i am a teeny bit disappointed, just because i expected a little bit more. i mean it can cause some pain in my ears after listening through a full song (i turn it down as soon as i sense pain or anything that has to do with my hearing). i dont know...maybe im going deaf //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif.

i was a bit more disappointed in it last night because i was having some issues with my speaker amp which put me in a bad mood, and therefore, magnified any feelings i had towards the driver. but after listening to it with a clear head im happy with it. i still have some settings to adjust though, so i might be able to gain a little bit more output.
