MX Mode

I have an Alpine 9807. I have been hearing the MX mode is mostly for MP3s and unclear radio stations. I have been just using it for normal CD use. It easily doubles the bass coming out of my subs. I don't know what it's doing, but it's awesome. Is this normal? Should I just leave it on all the time, or am I missing something buried in this list of features to increase bass output?

My friends alpine is the same way. But now he got a better amp and we turned MX off and turned the sub-out up along with the bass and treble settings. It sounds much clearer than MX did, and is louder.

it depends on how u tune ur setup.....

my MX doesnt do anything with CD's.

I notice more static noise w/ mx on in my system. if you don't have this problem then I guess you're fine.
