Just a thread to see what you guys think good music is.
I personally dont listen to the radio, boring and annoying music that i hear coming out of everywhere car. I have heard some songs i listen to on the radio but only a couple.
I like bass like most people here but not when its the same pretty much throughout the whole song, YET! i do have some songs like that because sometimes its just fun, but to me gets old real quick.
What do you guys listen to and a song or 2 you would recommend,
Im not looking for bass heavy songs, more like every instrument heavy.
Artist and a song I would recommend to someone with bass.
I listen to: alternative/pop, indie/pop, indie/alternative, some hip-hop, hard core metal, limited rock, old rock n roll(1950's, 60's) lots of acoustic music by various bands... stuff like that.
Some music does have repeated bass but not the overpowering kind.
Some of my songs:
French kicks- abandon (very good and low real bass, lots of guitar reverb)
The strokes- 12:51(a good song with pretty much no bass)
regina spektor- human of the year(great vocals and piano)
The shins- spilt needles (love the high hat throughout the song)
the devel wears prada - goats on a boat (2 bass parts that sound like high to low bass sweep)
flaming lips- a spoonful weighs a ton (A surprise when the bass and distorted guitar come in!)
just want to see what everyone is into, I am very open minded when it comes to music...
